To carry out preventive, remedial and vigilant activities in coordination with public and private offices and related organizations for the successful implementation of Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.
1.3 Strategic Objectives: Protecting consumer rights and raising awareness Conduct regular public awareness meetings 1.4 Functions:
Distribution of leaflets, pamphlets and calendars and other promotional materials to increase public awareness Protection of consumer interest through market oversight Investigation and settlement of consumer complaints Celebrating World Consumer Rights Day in districts and upazilas Conduct consumer rights seminars Training for officers / employees Consumer rights protection committee updating and strengthening and organizing regular meetings at district, upazila and union level.
